Situated near the National Cathedral, Cactus Cantina offers stiff margaritas and chile con queso for the young adult crowd and everyone else who enjoys Mexican and Tex-Mex food. The dining room is constantly loud and buzzing, here. The menu has slightly higher aspirations than you'd expect from a neighborhood Mexican place, from Cuban-accented roast pork to a monthly specials such as lamb fajitas and seafood chimichangas. Sundays bring brunch (10:30 am–3pm) offerings such as huevos machacadas and huevos chilaquiles, scrambled eggs with strips of stale tortilla. Full bar. Kids menu. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
