The Brickskeller loves beer, and it shows. Owner Dave Anderson has put his heart into accumulating all these beers from remote corners of the globe. (His efforts won him an award from a Belgian brewing group a couple years back, the first American bar to be honored.) With about a thousand types of beer to offer, you'll probably get what you want if you keep asking long enough. The food is resolutely pub grub – burgers, fish and chips, sandwiches and the like – and is best enjoyed alongside a beer. Loyal patrons regularly indulge in the comfort of a Reuben with potato salad or a plate of pierogies. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner and late-night nightly. Voted Best Draft Beer Selection in the 2008 City Paper readers poll. Voted Best Bar for Beer Lovers in the 2008 Washingtonian magazine readers poll.
