Owned and operated by the Taiwanese Pa family, Happy China Chinese Buffet is located in an unassuming strip mall in the western suburb of Creve Coeur. The dark lighting and generic booths and tables will remind diners of most other all-you-care-to-eat Chinese buffet restaurants, but don't be fooled. The well-organized, easily accessible buffet stations and the flavorful food set this restaurant apart from the pack. Grab your plate and head to long buffet tables featuring a variety of Chinese favorites such as beef and peppers, or pot stickers with dipping sauce. Hot or cold dishes featuring chicken, beef and seafood are available, along with a few unexpected all-American items such as mozzarella sticks and hot dogs. At the end of the buffet line is an oversized wok with a server ready to stir-fry made-to-order dishes.
