Greenwood neighborhood regulars keep the behavior level just below rowdy every night of the week at local hangout, 74th Street Ale House. Launched in 1991 and now with two other locations (Hilltop Ale House, The Columbia City Ale House), these pubs are designed to resemble traditional English alehouses with high ceilings, big windows and attractive wood floors. A multitude of beers are featured on tap, including local brews such as Hales Cream and the Lazy Boy Porter, and imports such as Guinness and Alpine Oktoberfest. Better than average bar food includes baked goat cheese salad, gumbo, and fish tacos. Age 21 and over admission. Beer and wine available. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Until late-night Fri–Sat.
