Another dining gem by wildly successful local restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias, Vin Rouge effectively recreates the white-tablecloth atmosphere and classic menu of an authentic French bistro. Some diners share bottles of Bordeaux over escargots and beet salads on the romantic outdoor patio, while others canoodle between bites of bouillabaisse, hanger steak and sautéed calves liver. And when in Rome – er, Paris – one must indulge in a delectable crème brûlée. Sunday brunch (10:30 am–2 pm) does eggs the francais way, with sterling renditions of various omelets and eggs Benedict.
