Though Dennis Quaintance and Mike Weaver closed their beloved Lucky 32 in Raleigh to concentrate on the "Kitchen & Wine Bar" concept of the Cary branch, much about the original model remains the same. This Triangle favorite is upscale enough for romantic wining and dining, yet sufficiently casual for the whole family to enjoy some juicy burgers and sweet tea. The classic fare consists of Southern staples, such as fried green tomatoes, along with all-American favorites and an award-winning wine list. In addition, a supplemental menu highlights a seasonal, ethnic or regional theme, ranging from the tropical cuisine of Hawaii to the Cajun delights of New Orleans. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily, late-night (until midnight) Mon–Sat. Sun brunch 10 am–3 pm.

The Triangle region of North Carolina has become the epicenter of what national food magazines have dubbed the New Southern movement, perhaps best exemplified by the shrimp and grits popularized at Crook's Corner.
