Barbecue comes chopped, sliced or spare-ribbed, and chicken barbecued, fried or chopped. Not up for such a power-punch of meat? The Brunswick stew, though still a hearty, meat-based meal, is a favorite alternative to the barbecue. Vegetable plates are also available. Sweet tea and super-sugary lemonade are a given.
