Lidia Bastianich, James Beard award-winning chef, author and TV personality, has opened several successful Italian restaurants across the country, including Lidia's Pittsburgh in 2001. Bastianich visits her comfortable Strip District spot, with its white-clothed tables surrounding a large fireplace, several times annually to help train chefs in preparing the Italian-American specialties first popularized in her New York City restaurants. Along with the daily pasta tastings, you'll find real Italian classics such as lemon chicken with capers and olives. Brunch is offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am–2:30 pm. Full bar.
