Executive chef/owner Jimmy Reiland's family-owned and -operated Amel's Restaurant offers an extensive menu emphasizing Greek and Middle Eastern- and Mediterranean-influenced cuisine. The restaurant itself dates to 1952 and features antiques such as a curved glass divider for the bar that comes from an 1880s Irish pub. Specialties include all variations of lamb, including chops, gyros, shish kabobs and Lamb Jasmine (lamb scaloppine with spinach, artichokes, tomato and feta in a tomato rosemary glaze). Starters include stuffed grape leaves, hummus and spanakopita. And try sandwiches and entrées such as various burgers, paella, poached salmon in grape leaves, and baked stuffed shrimp. Full bar.
