If you dilly-dally over the classic burgers-fries-shakes-all-day-breakfast menu at retro 1950s-style diner Fast Eddie's, the waitress may leave you in her dust. Fashioned after Chicago's retro diner standard-bearer, Ed Debevic's, – Fast Eddie's reportedly bought many of their kitschy furnishings and hired some of their staff when Debevic's closed its Phoenix branch several years ago – you can't go wrong with the standard diner fare. That means fabulous Angus beef burgers, patty melts, grilled cheese sandwiches, chili, Chicago-style beef hot dogs (get one with the aforementioned chili on top), meat loaf, coleslaw, onion rings, root beer floats and house-made blueberry pie. The all-day breakfast boasts oversized pancakes, waffles, omelets and a more than respectable version of biscuits and gravy. No alcohol available. Kids' menu. Serving breakfast and lunch daily, dinner Mon–Sat.
