Since opening in 1987, Susanna Foo's restaurant on Walnut Street has perpetually astounded critics and locals alike with its inspired French-influenced Chinese cuisine. Celebrity chef/owner Susanna Foo set the standard for the now ever-present concept of Asian Fusion years ago, and she continues to redefine seemingly ordinary Chinese staples, such as won ton soup and crispy duck, by utilizing European technique. The space, filled with silk lanterns and mirrors, provides a tranquil backdrop for a memorable meal facilitated by an efficient waitstaff uniformed in tuxedos. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner daily. Closed Sun mid-June to mid-Sept.
