Presenting celestial wonders in the form of near foot-long, naturally cased beef franks, Hot Dog Heaven on Colonial Drive has been serving authentic Chicago-style dogs in Orlando since 1987. What was originally a 500-square-foot singular operation had at one point expanded to two area locations, but the Oviedo location has now closed. The local lunch crowd in particular loves this casual spot for their divine dogs, made from Vienna beef shipped in from the Windy City itself, as are the buns and toppings. Franks can be topped with any combination of peppers, cheeses, chili, onions, slaw and sauerkraut, as well as all the standard condiments. For something a little different, popular Heaven originals include the Reuben Dog (with thousand island dressing, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut) and the deep-fried Chicago Polish Sausage, a fried frank served Chicago-style. Both are real wieners. Shakes, floats and ice cream cones are also available.
No alcohol available. Serving lunch and early dinner Mon–Sat (closes 4 pm Sat). Closed Sun.
