Named for an ancient sea chantey concerning an old fisherman's quest for repose, Fiddler's Green Irish Pub & Eatery brings the Irish knack for good times to its bright green building in the Winter Park neighborhood. Three dining rooms separate eaters from the boisterous bar crowd indulging in the 20-plus imported beers on tap, including Irish favorites Murphy's, Harp lager and, of course, Guinness. A primo spot for authentic British pub fare as well, Fiddler's Green offers all the classics: bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, and the like, along with several harder-to-find dishes such as Gaelic steak and Ballymaloe chicken. Four variations of burgers have the Emerald Isle at heart with names such as Ulster (with Irish bacon and cheddar cheese), Munster (barbecue sauce and fried onions), Leinster (Swiss or cheddar cheese) and Connaught (straight-up patty). And you'll find two of Orlando's most tempting dining deals at Fiddler's Green: Sunday brunch offers a full traditional Irish breakfast, and weekend evenings boast some excellent specials on draft beer.
