When Orlando locals crave quality sandwiches made fresh their way, they head to any of the 40-plus neighborhood Sobik's Subs throughout Central Florida. This rapidly expanding, Heathrow, Fla.-based chain has been providing a local version of Subway-like franchises since John and Beverley Sobik opened their first Altamonte Springs store in 1969. Operated by Ultimate Franchise Systems since 1997, Sobik's still offers their famed hand-made subs but now in conjunction with complementary co-branding ventures. Fresh veggies, five cheeses and signature sauces top your choice of 20 different sandwiches, the most popular being the Cuban (ham, roast pork and Swiss on Cuban bread) and the five variations of cheese steak served on Italian or honey wheat. Salads, spaghetti and several desserts round out the menu. Alcohol policies vary by location. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
