Chances are you've sampled Bagel King's bread products throughout central Florida in various restaurants and resorts or in Walt Disney World's many shops and eateries. This Orlando-based wholesaler with surviving restaurants in Casselberry and Daytona hails from a family-run operation begun in 1977, founded on the principles of good food and good service. Locals still rely on this neighborhood bakery for their fresh bagels and breakfasts. Whether you crave a sunflower bagel with veggie cream cheese or any of the assorted bagel "platters" featuring different combinations of eggs, breads and extras, Bagel King delivers time and again. In addition to nearly two dozen varieties of bagels, Bagel King also offers gooey pastries, Danishes and doughnuts. A standard deli list of classic turkey melts, Reubens and corned beef sandwiches features several welcome "belly buster" additions such as the pizza bagel and the house-specialty stuffed potato knish, a thin, baked layer of dough stuffed with mashed potatoes, seasoning and your choice of corned beef or turkey. Although the restaurant is not itself fully kosher, the catering division offers supervised products and meals for religious gatherings. No alcohol available. Serving breakfast and lunch daily.
