A romantic, French bistro-style setting – a fireplace front and center, with brick floors and subdued lighting – awaits diners at Rick and Vicki Bolsom's West End staple Tin Angel. Inspired by and named for Rick's favorite (now defunct) restaurant in his native New York City, Tin Angel has served some of Nashville's most consistent and healthy meals. The vegetarian-friendly menu features salads (with or without meat or seafood) and pasta dishes. Trout, pork loin and tangerine duck are all excellent entrée choices, as well. Try the coconut onion rings as an appetizer if they're offered. Although expanded in late 2005, Tin Angel is one of the city's most popular places for a power lunch, so expect a brief wait during peak hours, and the Sunday brunch is among the area's best, with huevos rancheros, the excellent San Francisco Joe (made with fillet mignon and caramelized onions) and bellinis. Lively bar crowd. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Sun brunch 11 am–3 pm.
