Caffe Nonna, the invitingly raucous home-style Italian restaurant in Sylvan Park, gets hopping in a hurry, especially on weekends. Given the noise level on a Saturday night, the 45 or so diners that can be jammed into this cozy place must all be talking at the same time – inevitably about the wonderful food. Chef and co-owner Daniel Maggipinto has created a number of winning dishes based on his childhood and inspired by his own nonna (Italian grandmother). Signature entrées include butternut squash lasagna and the sublime seafood Angelina (mussels, shrimp, scallops and baby clams over fettuccini). Full bar. Serving lunch Tue–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
