Founded by Jimmy Theros in 1975, Rudolphs boasts an old-fashioned Hollywood supper club feel, more upscale than usual for a place renowned for barbecued ribs, beef brisket and chicken. The meat is hand-rubbed with spices and slow-cooked. Portions are gigantic, and the Tinseltown-themed menu (the Rio Bravo quesadilla, Some Like ‘Em Hot Wings, Goodfellas smoked rib tips) also includes burgers, steaks, chops, chicken and fish. Signature items include the barbecue chop salad, a sautéed walleye sandwich platter and Key lime pie. Brisket sandwiches are also highly recommended, while worthy sides include garlic mashed potatoes, coleslaw and dirty rice. Full bar. DJ after 10 pm Mon and Tue. Serving lunch, dinner and late-night daily.
