Centrally located near Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles, this wildly popular spot has been a meeting ground for the casually chic for more than 20 years. Chef/proprietor Lucia Watson, a James Beard award winner, does not have the demeanor you might expect from a high-profile chef, preferring to labor in the kitchen of her down-to-earth restaurant rather than seek the spotlight. Her weekly changing menu that emphasizes locally grown ingredients and reflects culinary traditions of the Midwest has included entrées such as baked lemon sole with beurre meunière sauce and pan-roasted chicken breast with braised white beans.
