It's not difficult to fall in love with beautiful Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro, perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. So much of the food – mussels mariniere, shrimp in garlic butter, filet mignon au poivre, steak frites – has now become a part of the classic fine-dining repertoire, you forget that these favorites began as French bistro standards, "bistro" being the forebear of "upscale casual." The attentive service, reliably excellent food and a superior view make Lake Park Bistro a great place to impress a date, earn valuable spousal points or just treat yourself to a deluxe meal. Chef Adam Siegel was the 2008 James Beard Foundation winner for Best Chef: Midwest. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly. Sun brunch 10:30 am–2 pm.
