Chef Cindy Hutson's self-proclaimed "Cuisine of the Sun" focuses heavily on Caribbean flavors but displays Latin and Pan-Asian inspirations as well. The menu changes daily based on the freshest seafood available because Hutson simply won't settle for anything less. Her décor, much like the food at Ortanique on the Mile, is full of tropical spice and color. Expect a lively atmosphere, but secluded dining areas are available. A friendly, well-informed staff can guide you through the wide-ranging wine list, and be sure to save room for creative island-themed desserts. Reservations suggested. Full bar. Live jazz some nights. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly.

"An eclectic fusion of different nations and their natural bounties prepared and placed creatively on one plate."
– Ortanique on the Mile website
"Nuevo Latino, Caribbean and even Pan-Asian. The food is colorful, generally light and often spicy, with fish and shellfish predominant and expertly handled. The setting is boisterous and busy, but quite charming. The wine list is wide-ranging."

"Elegant in an islandy kind of way."
