Locals know never to pull up to the electric Wolfie Cohen’s Rascal House without an empty stomach and a willingness to wait for fulfillment. This vintage piece of Miami Beach history has been keeping its faithful clientele satiated with piled-high plates of classic Jewish breakfasts, deli sandwiches and cured meat platters since Spanky was General and Alfalfa sang his way into hearts everywhere – or at least since 1954. Customers queue up for the high-quality smoked fish, blintzes and matzo ball soups as well as briskets, barbecue and burgers. Scoot on into one of the big vinyl booths and feast upon this piece of Miami history. Oh, and don’t miss dessert. Full bar. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Best Deli
Top 100 Restaurant, Miami
"A labyrinthine deli but surely one of the best. The menu is a trip through all the glories of Jewish fare: chopped liver with schmaltz; herring; smoked fish; Reuben, corned beef, and pastrami sandwiches; huge potato latkes with sour cream; brisket of beef; borscht. You get the picture. Atmosphere is frantic but alive and infectiously buoyant."

"An icon of deli food, this place is always packed and sometimes a bit chaotic. We’re diehards, though, particularly for breakfast. Other than that, mile-high deli sandwiches rule. ... The décor isn’t particularly appealing, but there’s nothing quite like sliding into one of the oversized turquoise vinyl booths and going to work on your favorite comfort food."

"Rascal House is a Miami Beach landmark of epic proportions."
