The Oakroom, the flagship restaurant in the glorious, century-old Seelbach Hilton hotel, has a sterling reputation. Patrons have included F. Scott Fitzgerald, John F. Kennedy and Al Capone. The cuisine, described as "international Kentucky fine dining," is exquisite – firmly based in regional ingredients, but with significant global influences. A continually changing menu revels in creative surprises, balanced flavors and gourmet twists on comfort food – Hudson Valley foie gras with black walnut marshmallow, chicory nougatine, vanilla truffle crème anglaise and black cherry root beer or the popcorn dusted Chilean sea bass with cornbread pudding. The lavish Sunday brunch buffet (10 am–2 pm) offers complimentary champagne beginning at 1 pm. Business attire.
