Louisville's first Korean restaurant, opened a quarter-century ago, remains something of a secret. And that's just fine with locals in the know. The stone bi bim bop at Lee's – rice, fried egg, vegetables and beef served in a stone bowl – is a favorite, as is the galbi jim, a beef stew fortified with marinated charbroiled ribs. While beef dominates the menu, there are also plenty of chicken, pork, seafood and meatless options. The vegetable pancake, which you can sauce to your heart's desire using the bottles at your table, is a marvelous appetizer. Chinese dishes are available for those who are a little less adventurous. And, of course, there's kimchi (pickled vegetables), a Korean specialty. Beer available. Serving lunch and dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
