A neighborhood spot with big-city sparkle, Prado brings cozy and colorful Old World charm and Nuevo Latino appeal to the heart of Hancock Park in Larchmont Village. Two of the brothers Prado (a third is the brains behind Cha Cha Cha) combine the flavors of the Caribbean with a hint of N'awlins in their eclectic tropical bistro, where romance and ease have coincided since 1989. The loyal clientele craves the signature spicy black pepper sauce, available on several entrées, but the menu offers a parade of tastes in such choices as gnocchi, tamales with tomatillo sauce, and Louisiana crab cakes. A succinct but spot-on dessert list cools down the palate after dinner, while the affordable prices take it easy on the wallet. Beer and wine available. Serving lunch Mon–Sat, dinner nightly.
