"Located in a dive strip mall in a no frills neighborhood in L.A., Marouch is what I call... a don't judge a book by it's cover restaurant. The decor is a bit lacking, but I don't come to Marouch to see and be seen. I come to Marouch to eat. And that to me, is the reason to go to a restaurant."

"Marouch has been a Hollywood Lebanese-Armenian mainstay for so long that it is sometimes possible to forget just how good it can be, how succulent the grilled quail, how zataar-fragrant the toasted-bread salad fattoush, how reliable the kebabs, which sing with spice and juice and char. ... Year after year, Marouch becomes nothing but better."
