Holding tradition high among all other virtues, Dal Rae keeps the spirit of the Rat Pack alive with its piano bar atmosphere and classic-to-the-core menu. This Pico Rivera mainstay, open since 1958, is still crowded nearly every evening with customers longing for a bountiful taste of nostalgia. Thirty-plus-year veteran chefs and waitstaff serve up entrées to the tune of lobster Thermidor, rack of lamb and steak Diane, while couples gradually crowd the dance floor to try their best Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Service, too, seems of another more genteel era. And thank heavens there's still a place in Trendy-town that mixes Caesar salads and whips up cherries jubilee tableside. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly.
