At tropical-themed rumjungle (restaurant by day, nightclub by night) at Mandalay Bay, flames shoot from the ground, go-go dancers and live drummers move to the beat, and water flows down glass partitions behind stylish booths. rumjungle projects the image of an exclusive club, and the Caribbean-influenced menu competes successfully with the elite décor. Favorite starters include fried calamari and coconut shrimp. Most patrons enjoy the fire-pit meal, which includes unlimited portions of grilled meat, fish and fowl. Other entrées include steaks, lobster and jerk chicken. The restaurant/bar is host to the world's largest rum bar (144 feet long and 19 feet high), with more than 150 varieties of rum. And one of the greatest perks of eating at rumjungle is getting into the nightclub for free, and without a wait: The cover charge runs high on weekends, and people sometimes wait outside the velvet ropes for two-plus hours. Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
