Opened in 1913 in Miami, legendary Joe's Stone Crab is credited as the first restaurant to cook and serve stone crabs to its customers. Just a small shack on the beach, the original Miami location looks a lot different than its modern Las Vegas franchise, Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. Opened in 2004 in The Forum Shops at Caesars, Joe's is dominated by elegant mahogany chairs, white tablecloths and tuxedoed servers, but the menu still features stone crabs and classic Florida Key lime pie as its centerpieces. Steamed black mussels and stone crab bisque are among the suggested starters, while entrées include lobster tail tempura, mahi mahi, steaks and chops. Tableside service for Maine lobster and Dover sole is available. Desserts include Boston cream pie, apple pie and the aforementioned Florida Key lime. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
