Thai Place began serving its fresh and fiery food in 1991 in an Overland Park strip mall and has since added several locations, including downtown's Arun Thai Place Grill. Seafood pad thai (with shrimp, scallops, mussels and crab) is the signature dish, but the other noodle and rice dishes – the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, for example – are stellar.
