Tiny and cozy Sawasdee Thai Cuisine welcomes all, from those with adventurous palates to those who are more hesitant when it comes to exotic food. Amiable owner Ty Chen greets patrons at the door and helps guide the unfamiliar through the menu, while his relatives oversee the preparation of the authentic Thai food in the kitchen. Their willingness to accommodate various tastes keeps Sawasdee consistently packed. (Most of the entrées can be made vegetarian and more, or less, spicy.) But if you're looking for the full Thai treatment, ask for your authentic entrée hot – with a side of ice water, just to be safe. Beer and wine available. Serving lunch Mon–Sat, dinner nightly. Voted Best Thai Restaurant in 2008 Indianapolis Monthly readers poll and one of the Best Restaurants 2008 in the critics poll.
