Situated in an imposing but handsome brick building on tree-laden Post Oak Lane south of Woodway, Masraff's serves attractive, upscale fare that is appropriate for its setting near affluent Memorial. In addition to lunch, dinner and Sunday jazz brunch (10:30 am–3 pm) – featuring the likes of bananas Foster pancakes, various egg dishes, steak and seafood – there is afternoon tea during the weekdays, a true rarity for Houston. Although broadly Continental, Masraff's menu is far from staid. Top-quality and often hard-to-obtain ingredients, meats and seafood are the basis for many dishes. Diners can start with caviar, foie gras, crispy lump crabmeat roll or lobster strudel. Entrées may include Axis venison chops, caramelized scallops with polenta and pan-seared king salmon. To provide a sweet finish, there is Grand Marnier soufflé, crème brûlée and bananas Foster. For a special treat, the Chef's Counter has a six-course tasting menu, available each night. Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Sun brunch. Afternoon tea Mon–Fri 2:30 pm–5 pm.
