In a small strip center off Memorial on the west side, this cozy and informal bistro has been serving well-made Provençal food in the area since 1998. The owners are part of an extended family that owns three other well-regarded local French restaurants (Don Camillo, Café Rabelais and Brasserie Max & Julie). The menu is tidy and traditional, and there's something for nearly everyone, Francophile or not. Several sturdy-crusted pizzas headline the menu, topped with savory Mediterranean-influenced ingredients and Emmental (a traditional substitute for mozzarella in southern French pizzerias). These are cooked in the prominent wood-burning oven, which is also responsible for the fresh, tasty bread that starts every meal. Among the traditional dishes are a French onion soup, rabbit stew, duck, trout meunière and an entrée-sized salade niçiose that is topped with a tuna steak. Pâtés are made in-house, and the wine list is entirely French and food-friendly. Many half-bottles selections help make the lunchtime a little more leisurely. Beer and wine available. Serving lunch and dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
