Sapristi! Bistro and Wine Bar is a casual spot – picture car racing posters from the early 1900s on the walls – featuring Mediterranean-inspired bistro cuisine and a reasonably priced, internationally eclectic wine list. Specialties of the house include rosemary- seasoned Belgian fries, and mussels steamed in either coconut milk, Guinness or pesto broth. Lunch offers light salads, sandwiches and quiches. Try the unique Sapristi version of the BLT, the PST (prosciutto, spinach and tomato) sandwich, which comes with a flavored mayo dip. Dinner recommendations include beef tenderloin, roasted duck, halibut, salmon, pork pâté, grilled chicken and crab cakes. When available, try sides such as sautéed squash, rice, and steamed or pickled beets. Have an apple tart for dessert. Reservations suggested. Beer and wine available. Serving dinner Tue–Sat. Sun brunch 10:30 am–2 pm. Closed Mon.
