Opened in 1935 as a 16-seater, Fort Worth institution Joe T. Garcia's has expanded over the years into a labyrinth of outdoor dining areas that span an entire block. The restaurant's seven bars and fiesta gardens can seat up to 1,000. Enjoy the pool and cabana, or dine amidst greenery and Mexican pottery near the fountain on the patio. The surprisingly simple Tex-Mex menu – a family sample platter, or beef or chicken fajitas for dinner, with a handful of additional à la carte favorites during lunch – lacks nothing when it comes to flavor. Weekend brunches (11 am–3 pm) feature tasty egg dishes served with Southwestern flair and perhaps the best red salsa in town. Reservations accepted for parties of 20 or more. Cash only. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Sat–Sun brunch.
