Self-proclaimed "soulful bistro" Beans & Cornbread reconciles its upscale atmosphere and down-home menu with the quality of its meals, often called "as good as Grandma's!" Southern soul food favorites such as gumbo and meat loaf, along with new creations such as the Harlem burrito (made with collard greens, black-eyed peas, and tomato and cilantro salsa), pair with divine sides (think candied sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese) to achieve a sort of food heaven.
