Now under new management, this sunny, casual eatery at one end of the Pearl Street Mall continues to boast hormone- and antibiotic-free meats and free-range game, a slew of pastas and elaborate salads, and at least a dozen dishes made without animal products. In addition, the entire menu is prepared using additive-free, all-natural, unrefined, organic ingredients and local produce (including organic and biodynamic wines), all cooked in aluminum-free cookware. A prime reason folks stop by this spot is for the lunch salad bar, an amazing array served Tuesday–Sunday until late in the afternoon. Or try one of the signature dishes that use tempeh or seitan (a protein made from wheat gluten) in place of meat and seafood. The smoothies are divine (the in-house juice bar does all the work), and so are the desserts, particularly the chocolate-peanut butter tart. Weekend brunch (10 am–3 pm) fills up fast. Reservations suggested. Beer, wine and sake available. Serving lunch Tue–Fri, dinner Tue–Sun. Sat–Sun brunch. Closed Mon. Voted Best Vegetarian Friendly Restaurant in the 2008 Boulder Weekly readers poll.
