For pure people-watching pleasure, it's hard to beat The Market, ideally situated along Larimer Square for more than two decades. Locals and tourists alike come for coffee (regular or specialty); they come for a quick bite; and they also come to take a seat at one of the tables along the street to check out who's who. The extensive list of baked goods and deli sandwiches make for fast food at reasonable prices, while the peanut butter cookies are a don't-miss dessert. Breakfast options include quiche, omelets, breakfast burritos, waffles and a country breakfast platter. Try the muffins, and be sure to stop by the butter table, which offers lemon curd and other spreadables. Healthy salads are top summer picks, and in winter, try hot foods such as quiches and knishes.
