Le Central is always packed and for good reason: Solid French fare is not only priced reasonably here but also served efficiently. The French onion soup, escargots, pâtés – all are exemplary, and the atmosphere in this bustling eatery is anything but stuffy. Desserts are magnifique! Look for gateaux au chocolat or tarte Tatin for two. And the affordable wine list is, as one would expect, very French. Saturday and Sunday brunch (11 am–2 pm) is worth squeezing in, particularly for the Provençal-style egg dishes. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Voted Best French Restaurant in the 2008 Westword readers poll and Best Everyday French Restaurant in the critics poll.
