Blue Bonnet, open since 1970, is just one of those fun, time-honored, raucous (fueled in part by margaritas) and perfect-for-large-groups spots, with colorful wall murals highlighted by the natural light flooding through the big picture windows. The patio is also a hit. Be sure to start with a Mexican pizza, a great snack item that is at its best when covered with char-edged steak bits. The entrée menu features all of the basic Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites: enchiladas, flautas and chimichangas, burritos and chiles rellenos, tamales and tacos. The cheese and green chile sauces flow freely, and about a buck gets you a bottomless basket of house-made chips and salsa. Kids' menu offers a hamburger for the finicky. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
