For more than 25 years, Café Pacific has proven itself a first-class seafood restaurant à la epicurean San Francisco in the tony Highland Park Village. Often considered the dining destination for Parkies and Dallas foodies in-the-know, expect the 75205 treatment: A maitre d' greets you at the door; starched white linen covers tables and waitstaff alike; and Hermes scarves and Versace sunglasses abound. Although the elegance of it all evokes 1940s New York, the menu remains forward-thinking in its combinations and presentation. Imagine the likes of short-smoked salmon, ancho-chile lamb chops and brandy-and-black-pepper filet mignon. The rather extensive wine list boasts notably low markups that keep locals coming back for special-occasion dining. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
