Located among an increasing amount of ethnic restaurants on Coventry Road, Mint Cafe has been serving exotic, palate-pleasing Thai food since 2006. Vegetarians, vegans and the more omnivorous all have an abundance of delectable options to choose from on the extensive menu. Heat enthusiasts are more than accommodated as you are encouraged to select your preferred level of spiciness, but milder dishes are also infused with rich flavors. Begin with a Golden Bag: tofu skin stuffed with shrimp, mushrooms and water chestnuts, then deep fried. Move on to classics such as the pad thai country-style (a spicier version of the popular dish) or the fiery panang curry served with a choice of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, duck or tofu. Other specialties include mango curry, chili duck and the Under the Sea – shrimp, scallops, mussels and squid in a special sauce.
