Housed in the former Hyde Park Savings and Loan building, swanky American Traditional dining spot Teller's of Hyde Park features tall pillars and cocktail tables that mimic old teller windows. Young urban professionals predominate on the mezzanine overlooking the bar downstairs as well as on the outdoor patio that features a fireplace, brick bar and wrought iron tables. Even the former vault is open for seating, with cushions and heavy curtains offsetting the giant metal entrance. The menu changes seasonally, but recommended constants include crab cakes, hand-tossed pizza, raspberry and goat cheese salad, and rosemary chicken with penne pasta. The well-stocked full bar has more than 50 bottled beers and 30 on tap, with 23 wines by the glass and more than 100 by the bottle. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Sat–Sun brunch 10 am–2 pm.
