Constructed in 1901 as one of the country's first police patrol stations, The Precinct's distinctive Romanesque building, with its gabled roof and arched windows, was remodeled into a restaurant in 1981 by owner Jeff Ruby. The supper club-like dining room was once the stable for the horses that pulled early patrol wagons. Today, the feeding troughs have been replaced with intimate tables, where patrons bask in the warm light of individual lamps. Signature steaks bear the names of Cincinnati sports stars and include: The Carson Palmer (filet mignon), The Oscar Robertson (sirloin) and Steak Munoz (blackened sirloin). Standard steak house sides range from creamed spinach to sweet potato fries. Full bar. Serving dinner nightly. Voted Best Steaks in the 2008 City Beat readers poll.
