Sit among shades of gold, purple and green while you kick back and enjoy a Dixie beer and the sound of jazz performed by the Seventh Street Gator Band. The old-house setting creates an array of small, often noisy dining rooms, all adding to the lively atmosphere. Expect classic, shrimp-heavy Cajun fare (gumbo, barbecue shrimp, shrimp cocktail with rémoulade sauce) that is better executed than most. Chicken, shrimp and crawfish are prepared Diane, Creole or étouffée styles. And spicy fried oysters in a tangy dipping sauce are finger-lickin' good.
