Housed in a circa-1870s mansion, Butterwood Williamsville is a dessert and wine bar that features an array of dessert, cheese, fruit and salad combinations paired with various dessert wines, reds, whites, ports and champagnes. Try the chocolate fondue for two, a selection of sorbets or such mouth-watering offerings as citrus-poached pear, inverted rhubarb torte or sautéed crêpes served with fresh herbs and champagne sorbet. Sister location The Chocolate Bar, opened in early 2006 in the Hampton Inn in Buffalo's nightclub district, boasts a more extensive menu that includes the renowned desserts in addition to some light lunch and dinner selections.
