Since 1957, Birmingham staple Niki's West Steak & Seafood has been packing them in as much for the plentiful vegetable selection as for the creative seafood dishes and inexpensive steaks. There are often as many as 40 available veggies on the old-fashioned meat-and-three buffet, including anything from mashed potatoes to sometimes four varieties of beans, to pair with an entrée such as country-fried steak. Don't miss the house fish special, prepared fried, broiled or Greek-style.
