The baby blue building housing owner Fred Nelson's Freddie's Place on trendy South First Street welcomes adults, kids and even their dogs to come inside and play or to frolic outside on the huge patio underneath the trees. Enjoy an old-fashioned outdoor barbecue, including free brisket, at 6 pm Tuesday through Thursday, from March until October. Or step inside for made-from-scratch sandwiches, burgers, salads and hearty entrées. For dessert, sample the rich house-made cheesecake or hot apple pie.
